Well we have been in Honduras for 6 days now and only one word comes to mind…wow! I have never felt such a peace that what has been experienced in these past few days and I could not be more thankful. After being here for just this short time I know 100% this is exactly where God wants me to be.
So now to share a little bit about Honduras. It is a beautiful country, my home for the next three months. The place where we are staying is a little community called Zion's gate, which is a home for at risk youth. These were kids who grew up on the streets, with broken families all addicted to drugs. America does not know the meaning of struggle and poverty until it as seen these nearby colonies, where kids dig in dumpsters for scraps and live in what America considers trash. It breaks my heart to hear the story of these kids past who now live at Zion's gate, but also brings great joy to know that now they have a home, they have food, and most of all they are loved. Thus far our squad has hung out with all these kids and it has been great. Communicating is difficult since I do not speak spanish, but it has challenged me to love through actions rather than words.
Tomorrow is when ministry really starts for us and I am ecstatic. I don't know what to expect, I don't have any plans, but what I do know is this, that above all else I will love.
As far as this blog goes I will only be able to get on once a week when we get wifi, which is unfourtunate. But I will catch you all up every week and give you a run down of what God has been doing in my life as well as the people around us.
God Bless!

I’m so excited for you Caleb…my prayer is that your actions fully convey all that you mean and they understand you completely!!

Caleb, it’s wonderful to hear from you…all the more so to hear that you are confident that you are where God wants you to be. Language is a barrier that you can overcome, but love speaks to everyone regardless of their origins. Be Jesus in skin to these boys and they will understand your message. Love you so much and praying for you every day.

“Love through actions rather than words”…. probably what we should all be doing on a daily basis…listening more, talking less. Can’t wait for the next entry!
So glad for the opportunities you are experiencing. Just always be – God in me- minded in everything you do and say, because He is in you as you already know. When there is ever a time that you are not sure what to say or do, just pray in the spirit and thank Him verbally, that He is giving you divine wisdom and understanding in every circumstance. We love you. Ann
